Corey's Video

For a school project Corey & her group had to find an online video contest to enter.  They decided on HANDy Paint and put together a short video to promote one of their products.   I thought they did a fantastic job!  Enjoy!

To see the video, click HERE and put in the password: handypaintproducts

When Corey came home she spent about 45 minutes in the shower getting all the paint out of her hair! Her clothes could not be salvaged.  Please comment and tell Corey how she did!

Alice in Wonderland

We enjoyed seeing Gabby in action as the White Rabbit in her studio's production of Alice in Wonderland this weekend at the Minnaert Center.  She did a tremendous job!  Even though she wore a mask, her spunky attitude shone through.  Can't wait to see her perform again at the end of the year recitals in about 4 weeks.

Taken afterwards in the lobby, which was dark, so not the best lighting.

Backstage which was also dark.  Sigh.

Love her tail!

Easter Eggs

Finally getting around to posting these pictures from several weeks ago when we dyed Easter Eggs.

Pretty much the usual 'tudy face I get from Gabby.

A smile!

they turned out pretty good I think :)

Federal Way Volksmarch (#4)

Today Jennifer, Clarissa and I went up to Federal Way to do another volksmarch.  We did this same one last year, but decided to do it again because we love walking through the rhododendron garden (for free!) and seeing all the blooms.  Unlike last year, the weather this year was horrid.  It started raining right when we pulled into the parking lot, and by the time we were done we were drenched and freezing.  We went to Olive Garden afterwards to warm up with some hot soup, which really hit the spot!

Lots of pretty rhodies were blooming.

Interesting flower & name: Jack in the Pulpit

Cute glasswork in the green house area.

More glasswork: lily pads

Love these giant ones!

There was a huge plant sale going on, even in the pouring rain.

Jen & Clarissa bought some plants.

San Antonio Trip, Day 3

Saturday was our last full day together in San Antonio.  We decided we would finally get to the Botanical Garden or die trying!  Luckily we found the garden, although we did witness the bus driver ejecting a rider off the first bus because he was unruly.  That made me feel a bit panicked.

We didn't realize that the number 7 bus that goes out to the Botanical Garden only ran once an hour, so we spent a lot of time waiting around and didn't get to our destination until past eleven o'clock.  By then it was starting to get pretty hot.  But the heat was not going to keep us from our favorite pastime of looking at flowers!  We spent about 3 hours there and saw lots of pretty flowers and cool plants.  We even got a free Chipotle lunch!  What is better than that?

Afterwards we were pretty much exhausted.  We took a quick detour for coconut gelato then rode the bus back to the North Star Mall where we got pedicures for our tired feet and one last meal at Chick-fil-A as well as some last minute shopping done.  The next morning Rozanne flew back to Tennessee and I flew home in the evening.  I had such a blast and I am so thankful Rozanne and I got to spend that time together!  It felt just like old times.

Warning...many flower photos ahead!
