Family Photos 2026

Scott's dad turned 80 this year, so his kids decided to present him with a family photo shoot. Everyone converged in Spokane for family photos on July 11th at Jamie's house. We were able to use her neighbor's backyard for the shoot, which was great.  They had such a lovely garden and shade, which was most welcome on that hot day. The photos turned out really well!  So happy to have these memories. It's also awesome that it fell just a few days after our 35th wedding anniversary, so now we have a photo to commemorate that as well!

No More Pink!

After nearly 4 years of living in a pink house, the pink is no more.  Our neighbor recently had his house repainted, so we asked him if he would recommend his painter, and he said yes, so we got a bid, and today they came & painted our house!  Scott & I chose a sage green with dark brown for the trim and doors.  It only took them about 4 hours to get it all done and they did a great job! I'm really happy with our paint choices and I think the house looks great!

A big change!

Tacoma Girl Walk

I saw on Instagram that there is a lady that started Tacoma Girl Walk, which is a safe space for women to come together and walk in Tacoma. She sends out a monthly schedule and one of the walks fell on a day that was open, so I asked Jennifer, Clarissa and Michele to join me, and they did! Yesterday morning we started our walk at the Chinese Reconciliation Park which is located right by the water. We walked along Shuster Parkway and back, ending up with 3.27 miles.  There were quite a few women there which was nice. The weather was cool which was also nice. By the time the sun came out from behind the clouds we were just finishing up.  The August schedule will be coming out soon, and I hope that we can make another walk next month!

Maddox Month 8

Maddie is 8 months old! He's really, really close to crawling and is quite mobile. The room sharing has been mostly a success.  I think he likes being in Nova's room because it's the only room that has air conditioning in their whole apartment. It has been super hot!  We love hanging out with Maddie and seeing his super cute smiles & listening to his sweet laugh.

8 months old!

Corey is reading the Harry Potter series to him just like she did for Nova. They just finished book 2. He seems to be enjoying it so far!
