Peter Pan Rehearsals

Peter Pan starts tomorrow!  Gabby will be performing as both a pirate girl and the pirate lead.  It's been a very long and trying week for the kids at the theater.  They've had multiple girls out with pneumonia. Gabby was very sick over last weekend and is dancing with an injured foot.  But, I know that they will all step up and give us an amazing performance like they do every year!  Can't give enough kudos to all the dancers!  They put in so much hard work and dedication.  I went to the theater tonight to assemble flower bouquets and was lucky enough to snag a few pictures during their dress rehearsal.  I can't wait to see everyone dance!

Gabby with the mini-belles.  She only has one sock because they ran out of socks!

Olivia doesn't look too scared.

There is Olivia noticing them getting their picture taken.

And there she is photo bombing them!

Mini golf

On Sunday Scott & I took Gabby mini golfing at the golf center in Lacey.  Afterwards we stopped by Cold Stone for some delicious ice cream.  It was a good way to spend such a gorgeous day!

Saw some beautiful Lilacs blooming!

So yummy!

Mariners Game with Jerry & Brenda

Last night we went up to Seattle with Jerry & Brenda to watch the Mariners take on the Texas Rangers.  It was King Felix bobble head night, and we drove up a little early in hopes of snagging one.  When we arrived, the line at every entrance was at least 5 blocks long.  Crazy!  I guess people had started lining up around 1:30 for the 6:10 game.  We decided not to join the fray and ended up going shopping at the team store instead.  When the gates opened, and the lines started moving, we decided to head in.  We couldn't believe it when they still had bobble heads left and we each got one!  It was a huge crowd, and the stadium was nearly full. Luckily, the Mariners played well and won 3-1.  We had a great time!

Selfie when we arrived.

Walking into the stadium.  I see Brenda on her phone!

Jerry looks happier in this picture.

You can see all the people in line.

Great view from our seats. We were in section 107.

Raise for Rowyn

This morning Clarissa and Jen came down with us to Tenino to participate in the 1st annual Raise for Rowyn 5k event.  It is an event that is close to our hearts because it is put on by one of our coworkers, Cassie.  To read more about it, visit www.raiseforrowyn.org   The weather was a little chilly, but the sun was shining.  There were tons of people and activities going on, so Winston went a little crazy.  We saw Rhubarb, the mascot for the Tacoma Rainiers, which was unexpected.   It was a lot of fun, but we didn't realize until after the walk that we didn't complete the entire 5k because we missed the part where we had to do a second loop.  Oops!  The funny thing is we were all commenting on how short it seemed.  Oh well, we will know for next year!

Several coworkers were there including our friends Michele, James & Teresa (w/Cyrus).

Crazy dog! He would not keep still!

So excited Rhubarb came to say hi to me!

Mom's Weekend 2015

It was so fun to go visit with Corey during Mom's Weekend at WSU!  We arrived in town around 2 on Friday, right when Corey finished with classes.  We went downtown to check out "the loft", her new apartment that she will be sharing with 3 girls next year.  It's a pretty cool space and is RIGHT ABOVE AN ICE CREAM SHOP!!   And, yes, we did have some ice cream. It was delicious!  Afterwards we went to a bookstore,  visited Martin Stadium, shopped at the Bookie, checked out the office where Corey will be working next year, then headed back downtown for Chinese food.  We watched "Into the Woods" at the CUB auditorium while Corey helped set up the Up All Night event.  We met up with her there after the movie and watched a stand up comedian, Sara Schaefer, who was pretty funny.   We left Gabby with Corey to spend the night while the 3 of us headed back up to Spokane.

We were back Saturday morning for a quick breakfast at Honors Hall, then we had a tour of the Vet Hospital followed by lunch at the CUB.  We attended the Raptor Club silent auction and watched Bandaloop perform at Terrell Library.  They performed a couple of dances while suspended on the side of the building.  It was really cool, considering the weather was cold & rainy.  While we were at Smith Gym we ran into our favorite mascot, Butch, who paused to pose for pictures.  It was awesome!  Afterwards Gabby & Scott headed back to Spokane while Sherry & I hung out at Honors Hall with Corey before heading to Beasley Coliseum to watch Sheryl Crow perform.  She was amazing!  I forgot how much I like her music!  I'm so glad we got to come over and be a part of Mom's Weekend!

Heading to the loft!

Ice cream!

There's her apartment...those 4 windows above the ice cream shop, Licks.

They have a roof top patio!

Loved all the spring flowers around campus!

At Martin Stadium.  Scott was excited to go out on the field.

It was siblings day.  So Corey was trying to get some sisterly love!

She ended up with a piggy back ride.

Gabby's got some muscles!

This one makes me laugh.  That Gamma!

Corey got a job here next year!  She will be working 10 hours a week as their Arts Programmer.

She will get a desk!

Winston came with us on Saturday at Corey's request.  She was happy to see him!
