Christmas 2014

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!   We didn't go overboard with gifts this year, but I think everyone was very happy with what they received.  Mostly we tried to stick to consumables....mostly gift cards and clothes.  So nice to spend the day together!

Winston was ready to get started.  "Hurry up!" he said.
Gabby with her stocking.
Corey liked that Santa brought her a new water bottle.

Owl socks.
Every year Corey has to have her Peanut Butter Cups.

iTunes gift cards are always a hit.
Winston was excited to get a gift, too!
Coug Dad sticker for his car!
I got one, too!
Now You See Me on DVD.
Charli XCX CD.  She also got 5 Seconds of Summer Live on CD.
Cookie Monster!

Panera Gift Cards are always in demand.
Cute hedgehog ornament.

Capitol Photo Shoot

This afternoon Gabby dragged me out from under my warm, soft blanket and down to the Capitol campus to play photographer for her ballet shoot.   She is one crazy girl because I was freezing and she was in a thin leotard.  But, I think we got some good photos so it all worked out in the end.

The Capitol tree this year was Frozen themed.  Of course!

Rubbing George's nose for good luck.

I'm glad she wore her old Pointe shoes because they got a wee bit dirty.

Annual Trip to Seattle

We went on our annual holiday trip to Seattle today.  It was an unusually warm day for the first day of winter.  The temps were in the mid 50's and it wasn't even raining.  It was nice to walk around with just a sweatshirt on.  We visited the Sheraton to view their Gingerbread Houses.  This year's theme was 'Jingle All the Way' so all the houses were decorated based on Christmas songs.  Afterwards we went to P.F. Chang's before heading to Top Pot for their awesome donuts.  We finished our day perusing the Cougar Connections store.  We didn't make it to Seattle Center this year because the ice sculptor is only there on Saturdays.  It was a short visit, but still fun to keep our tradition alive!
Songs: I'll be Home for Christmas and Northwest Christmas

These represented the houseboats found on Lake Union.
Song: O' Christmas Tree

They had to incorporate the 12th Man since we are in Seattle.

Songs: Chipmunk Song and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.  I thought this one was a bit scattered.

The Sheraton is a bit small.
But no vacancy at the Westin.
