What a week it's been! We've had snow on and off all week and really cold temps. Yesterday we woke up to 18 degrees...very cold for this area. We only get weather like this every few years. It was not the best week for all this snow as our Subaru is in the shop for some body work, but luckily the MINI barreled through the snow & ice like a champ. I think the cold snap is finally on its way out. I am so ready for spring!

DuPont Hike (#3)
Hard to believe just a few weeks ago the weather was in the 50's and we were walking around in just sweatshirts. Yesterday we woke up to a couple inches of snow and today dawned sunny, but very cold. But, since we didn't want to waste our day off from work by hanging around inside, we drove north to DuPont to hike the Sequalitchew Creek Trail. We have hiked here a few times before, and even walked it once for a volksmarch. It is approximately 3 miles roundtrip and goes down to Puget Sound where the DuPont Wharf once stood. There were lots of other folks out braving the cold to enjoy the sunny weather and well as beautiful views of the water.

Hamilton
We've been wanting to go see Hamilton for a long time, but shows in NYC and London were sold out when we were there. We didn't think we would be able to see it for several years. When I saw that Hamilton was coming to Seattle, I signed up for a chance to buy tickets through a lottery system. Luckily I was chosen and on the day they went on sale was able to snag 4 tickets which was a minor miracle. Yesterday we went up to the Paramount Theater in Seattle to see the performance. It was phenomenal and lived up to all our expectations. So glad that Sherry & Corey were able to fly over and come with us! Such a great day!

Communicating Doors
Last Sunday Scott & I went to see Olympia Little Theatre's production of Communicating Doors. It was advertised as a time-traveling mystery farce. I don't know if it was a farce, but it did feature time traveling and a murder. After a bit of a rough first act, the second act turned it around and we actually ended up liking it a lot. We both like live theater and it's always nice to be able to support local organizations.
