Rainiers Game #2
We missed a few of our scheduled games in May & June, but were finally able to make it to our second one on Sunday. It was a beautiful day--sunny & warm. It was a bit of a nail biter, but the Rainiers were able to pull it out on the bottom of the 10th inning, winning 5-4 over the Reno Aces. We traded in some of our old tickets for a game this Friday night..looking forward to some more baseball!

Little Mashel Falls Hike #17
We tried to do this hike a few years ago with the Yoh! group, but had a really hard time finding the falls. We did find some, but now that we've done this hike again from a different direction, it seems we had not found the actual falls, but a different area. This time we started from the Bud Blancher trailhead and, following the directions printed off the WTA website, we were able to easily find all 3 falls: lower, middle & upper. And they were beautiful! In all we hiked 5.61 miles with 602 feet of elevation, most of it pretty steep. I even took a bit of a tumble getting down to the middle falls, but luckily it was just some bruises & scratches. We had a great time, injuries notwithstanding!

Whatcom Falls Park Hike #16
Our last hike was at Whatcom Falls Park on the east side of Bellingham. It's a huge park. In all we hiked 2.81 miles per my hiking app. Scott kept insisting it was longer, but maybe it just felt much longer because we were so tired. There are supposed to be 4 waterfalls, but we only found two due to poor signage & the lack of a park map.

| 105 steps which we luckily went down, but made up for it later when we had to walk uphill the entire way back to the start point. |
Flood Falls Hike #15
The directions to the trailhead was "right off Highway 1" which was not useful at all. Luckily between the car GPS and my phone we were able to find it off exit 165. It is a short hike (about 15-20 minutes one way) but worth the stop. We were a bit worried there would be no water as the stream heading down was dry, but the falls were running and very pretty.
Othello Tunnels & Hope-Nicola Valley Trail Hike #14
My favorite area that we visited would definitely be the Othello Tunnels. The tunnels themselves were cool, but the canyon was breathtaking...the water was super clear & everything was so lush and green. The canyon walls went on and on; you just couldn't get enough of the view. We remembered to bring our flashlights which came in handy in the tunnels. We ended taking the Hope-Nicola Valley Trail to make the hike a true loop. That part of the hike was extremely hilly and we didn't have our water bottle with us so it was a bit challenging, but luckily we made it. In all we hiked 5.4km (approx. 3.4 miles).

| A viewpoint without much of a view due to the low clouds. So wrong that this was not at the top! We had more climbing to do. |
