Main Bathroom Remodel--Completed!

Our main bathroom remodel is done!  It was a long time coming due to shipping delays and a shower door that didn't fit and had to be replaced.  But, it was all worth it in the end. We are happy with the final result and are excited to use it!  To see BEFORE photos click HERE.

We chose agreeable gray for the walls.

We ended up rotating the toilet so that it would be easier to get in/out through the door.

Looks and feels just like real stone but it's actually LVP.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

It's been a very cold and wet spring this year.  Many plants have been late in blooming, and we weren't quite sure if there would be any tulips to see in Skagit Valley at this time. Since they had the day off on Thursday, Gabby & Ethan decided to go anyway and met up with some friends there.  Luckily some of the earlier season tulips had started blooming and the weather ended up being fairly pleasant as well.

The daffodils were still fairly vibrant, which is usually not the case.  They are enjoying the extended cooler weather.

Tacoma Volksmarch #3

Yesterday was a big volksmarching day because it was the first time for Nova and our friend Shawn.  We all did a 5k in the North Tacoma area.  The route was fairly flat and took us around some neighborhoods with fancy houses; we also got to walk by the old Weyerhaeuser mansion.  We had pleasant weather; it was dry and not too cold.  It was a lovely walk and hopefully the two of them will come along to more volksmarches in the future!

Even though she slept the whole way, I think she enjoyed her first volksmarch!

Lots of beautiful Camelia were blooming. We just planted one in our yard yesterday and I can't wait to see it bloom next year.

Kitchen Update--It's Done!

After 4 long months without a kitchen, our ordeal has come to an end.  On Monday the electrician returned to install the outlets, and our handyman installed the kitchen faucet.  On Tuesday the cabinet installer came back and installed the remaining cabinet over the fridge, the side panels, the molding, the kick plates, the cabinet hardware, and the dishwasher.  We finally have a functioning kitchen again and we are so happy!  It was a painful process full of unexpected delays and frustrations, but overall, we agree that the end product was better than we had hoped.  We are happy with all the choices we made and feel like they blended well together to make a beautiful kitchen that definitely feels much larger than our original kitchen.  The very last thing that is needed is for the baseboards to be installed in the dining room, but at least until then, we can use our kitchen, so it feels finished.

Nova's First Easter

Yesterday was Nova's first Easter.  Instead of giving her yummy chocolate her parents decided to stick her into her own Easter basket.  How rude. She was not liking it, that's for sure.

That is one mad baby!

Resigned to her fate.

More torture--tummy time!

She is one adorable bunny!

Nova Is One Month Old!

Hard to believe a whole month has passed since Nova was born!  Here are some photos of her first month. At her one-month doctor appointment she weighed 6 pounds, 6.5 ounces and is now 19 inches long.
