Vancouver Volksmarch (#10)
Today Corey & I completed our 10th volksmarch of the year down in Vancouver. Scott stayed home because he is sick. The weather was very cold & gray with some snow flurries thrown in at the end. The volksmarch itself wasn't particularly scenic, but we did get to walk through a very nice upscale neighborhood, and there was even a Corgi sighting. Afterwards, we met up with Rozanne & Eric for a yummy lunch at McMenamin's, which happened to be the start point for the volksmarch. I'm glad we were able to complete our goal of 10 volksmarches for the year, especially since we only completed five last year. Scott & I are hopeful that we will be able to complete our goal of 20 next year!

Gingerbread Houses
Today we headed up to Seattle to do one of our favorite holiday traditions: view the gingerbread houses at the Sheraton Hotel. They have different themes every year, and this year it was Harry Potter, which we all love. The line was crazy! We waited about 90 minutes to finally get to view them, but the wait was totally worth it. The gingerbread houses were amazing! They put so much detail into each one. So fun to pick out so many different characters and scenes from the books. Afterwards we had a very yummy lunch at P.F. Chang's. So glad we went!
Waiting in line with Starbucks in hand...so Washington.
Dumbledore's face is so life-like!
I liked the dragon the best.
Those staircases actually moved like in the movie!
You could press the button on this snake & it would tell you what House you were in. I got Gryffindor!

Nutcracker 2016
Gabby just finished performing in her 8th and final season of Nutcracker today. There were two weekends of performances this year instead of one. We went to the opening show on Friday, December 9th, and were excited that Rozanne & her two girls were able to come watch Gabby perform for the first time. Gamma also came over from Spokane. We also watched Gabby perform on Saturday the 17th. Everyone enjoyed seeing her dance as Arabian Lead. This year she also danced in the Snow & Flower Corps and was the Governess. It was fun to pick out all the different roles that she has had. She has made so many fun memories over the last 8 years. Hard to believe we won't be going to Nutcracker next year to watch her dance!
Having fun at rehearsal.
