Corey & Terrell Moved

While Gabby & I were up north having tea, Scott helped Corey & Terrell move into a rental house in Fircrest.  They are excited to no longer be living in an apartment.  It's a cute little 3 bed, 1 bath house located not far from Fircrest Park.  I'm sure they will be spending a lot of time there this summer since they have a tot lot for Nova. There is also a community pool close by, so hopefully she will get to take some swimming lessons, too.

This was taken at the end of March when we walked by to check out the house & the area. They hadn't even been inside it yet at that point.

Nova checking out the packed boxes in their apartment. She has started pulling herself up to standing recently!

This was on Friday when they got the keys and walked through the house.

Afternoon Tea at Willowbrook Manor

On Saturday, we headed far north to Sedro Woolley to partake in afternoon tea at Willowbrook Manor.  It is a private residence, but they host afternoon tea there a few times a year which sells out quickly, and luckily we were able to nab a spot this time.  The weather was cold & showery, but there was a little break in the rain when we arrived, so we took advantage of it and toured the grounds.  Not much was blooming yet, but it was still lovely.  We each selected our own teacups out of a huge selection, then enjoyed some lovely food & company.  I'm so grateful for my tea group!

Not the best lighting, but it was quite fancy.

LeMay Collection

For Scott's birthday I had gotten him tickets to the LeMay Collection in Spanaway.  He had been there once before when he and Gabby learned to drive Model T's, but they didn't have a chance to look around at the exhibits.  On Sunday, we finally made it there.  I wasn't sure what to expect; I thought it would be just cars, but it was a whole lot of different collections. It was very eclectic!  It was a bit shocking to see things from our childhood as a collector's item such as our old rotary phones! It made us feel a bit ancient. Definitely a unique experience!

The green Bug was definitely my favorite.

Asahel-Curtis Nature Trail

On the way back from Wenatchee we stopped at the Asahel-Curtis Nature Trail just off I-90.  The road getting there was a bit rough with giant potholes, but luckily it was short lived.  The nature trail is short, just .89 miles per my watch, but it was lovely.  There were two beautiful bridges over Humpback Creek, then an interpretive loop through some old growth trees.  We didn't see much blooming other than some skunk cabbage and trillium.  The trailhead is shared with Annette Lake which I would love to come back and do some time.

A Chorus Line

Scott and I bought a season pass to the 5th Avenue Theater for the 2026-2027 season, which will consist of 5 shows.  Our first show was A Ch...
