Today we travelled an hour and a half north to Olallie State Park in North Bend to hike the Twin Falls trail. It was a challenging 3 mile hike with several big hills & rocky terrain. But the views of the falls were definitely worth all the effort. We even managed to see several chipmunks. Definitely a successful adventure!
Gabby at the beginning waiting for the rest of us to use the restroom. Unfortunately the facilities were no better than a hole in the ground. Another reason I am not much of a nature girl.
Views of the Snoqualmie River. It was so beautiful!
Some smaller falls down river.
Self portrait... Gabby is always in the lead because she is in the best shape. Those dance classes have paid off!
Corey inside an old tree. The trail was in an old growth forest and we saw many trees with trunks large enough to drive through.
Really?
View of the river at the bottom of the falls.
The falls!
On the bridge overlooking the falls.
On the way back the girls spent some time playing on the river rocks.
Gabby was intent on going across that downed tree to get to the "island" in the middle of the river.
There she goes...
still going....
She managed to stay out of the water.
Victory!
Corey's turn.....

That is a huge tree that Corey was standing in! I can't believe they made it across that downed tree. They are much braver than I.
