Last weekend we attended WSU Mom's Weekend in Pullman. We drove over to Spokane Thursday night, then got up super early on Friday to attend a class with Corey in Todd Hall. It was a little surreal because that was the building where Scott & I first met so many years ago. We fit in so many activities that day: taking Corey to the laundromat & grocery shopping, buying her new hiking shoes, eating too much food, attending a comedy show, shopping at the Bookie. On Saturday Scott's mom came down from Spokane and the 5 of us visited the Ableson Hall greenhouse (so many beautiful plants!), the Conner Museum (with so many interesting animal species), and then attended a fantastic performance of
Young Frankenstein. We didn't realize it was a musical, which made it even more awesome. Afterwards we had dinner in Moscow, then headed back to Spokane for the night. It was so fun to see Corey. Cannot believe she's got less than one month left before her junior year is over. The plan is for her to study abroad in the fall in the Galapagos Islands. Final plans & details are still in the works. It will be an amazing opportunity for her to study in the field. This summer she will be working in the Pullman area & parts of Idaho studying wood frogs, which will be part of her senior thesis.
