Saturday Fun!

It was an exciting Saturday for Nova yesterday as she attended her first car show and parade!  Here are some pictures and write-up from Corey.

We had a busy Saturday morning! At 8 am, we met up with Dad at Griot’s Garage for their monthly car show. It was way bigger than we were expecting and really nice! This month was Porsche themed so there were a lot of cool Porsches. They also gave out free donuts which were delicious. It was already getting pretty warm when we left around 9:15.

Then we swung by the house really quick to pack a lunch for Nova and change into shorts before heading off to Duck Daze in University Place! We’d never been to this event, and I can’t remember how we found out about it, but we decided to go check it out. There was a small parade at 10 am which Nova loved and was really cute. Then we headed down to the fire station to sit in the fire truck and see the giant duck. It turns out they were grilling free hot dogs for everyone! So, we settled in and had some lunch down there complete with chips, lemonade, and a cookie. Then we headed back up the hill to check out the event booths, wander around the food trucks, and listen to live music. Then we went into the library for a bathroom break and their free duck craft. Overall, it was a beautiful, sunny day and lots of fun! I would love to go again next year!

Ready for a big day!

Scott said Nova was really good at not touching the cars. When she wanted to see inside, she would just put her arms up for a lift. I'm glad he's found a new buddy to see old cars with and now I'm off the hook!

Gramps is in his element!

Excited for the parade!

A good waver!

That's a cool giant duck!

Look at that happy smile!

Craft time.
