Lahaina

After our kayaking adventure we headed to Lahaina for some sightseeing, shopping & lunch.  We saw the famous Banyan Tree which was planted in 1873 and the original Lahaina courthouse.  Afterwards we met up with the rest of the group, who had gone on a whale watching tour, for lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Gabby looks excited to head into town.

First, we had to take more photos around the hotel.

We took some pictures with the statues around Old Lahaina Center.

We saw lots of crabs on the rocks.  Can you see them?  They freaked Corey out because they would jump from rock to rock like giant spiders.

By the Banyan tree.

The roots are so cool.  Gabby took this picture.

There's Cheeseburger in Paradise.  We sat on the upper floor & enjoyed a lovely ocean breeze during lunch.

Scott & Gabs at Cheeseburger in Paradise.

The walls & ceilings were covered in license plates.

Scott stumbled onto these Magnum PI shirts while shopping.  He ended up getting the black one because he said the red shirt didn't fit quite right.   The funny thing is when we went back to the Beach Club for breakfast we noticed all the waiters were wearing that red shirt.  Good thing he didn't buy it or they would have thought he worked there.

Lots of fun statues! Funny that all the waiters were wearing the red shirt. Good thing Scott got the black. I would have enjoyed eating at that restaurant in the open air. Only in Hawaii can you do that!
