Disneyland!

Gabby had been begging us forever to go back to Disneyland, so we made her a deal that if we went for Thanksgiving break, we would forgo Christmas presents this year.  After some thought, she decided it was a pretty sweet deal, so we bought a package through Costco and off we went!  We flew into LAX on Sunday the 22nd and stayed until Friday the 27th.  We had 4-day park hopper tickets, which we used Monday through Thursday.  Big lesson learned: NEVER go to Disneyland over the holidays.  The crowds were insane!  We still had a great time, and we managed to go on every ride that was on our wish list.  We stuffed our faces with beignets & churros.  We saw one of our favorite shows, Aladdin, but were saddened to learn that it is ending next year and being replaced by Frozen.  The parks were decorated for Christmas, making it even more magical.  According to my Fitbit we walked over 10 miles each day; no wonder my knees & feet were so sore!  Disneyland is definitely for the young & fit, of which I am neither.  We really enjoyed spending time with the girls on what may be our last family vacation for a while.

The following pictures are from my iPhone.  I brought my real camera to California, but never used it.  I tried to just be in the moment instead of focusing on getting the perfect picture.  Luckily, Gabby had her camera, and she did a great job of documenting our escapades. Those pictures will be in the next post.

On the way to the airport.

Airports are boring.  Luckily there is Starbucks to help you get by.

Waiting for our shuttle.  We are in California!

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott, room 401.

Palm trees!

In the first of many lines at Disneyland!

Corey & I got to ride Dumbo.  This ride was on my wish list.

It's a Small World...one of our family favorites.

Big Thunder!  Scott got nauseous after this ride.

Scott doesn't look happy...not sure why?  We were on the Pooh ride!

Haunted Mansion

Waiting for the Mickey & The Magical Map show, which was new & really good.

Another of our favorite rides...Toy Story Mania.  The lines for this ride were insane!
