Porter Falls Hike (#2)

What a difference a week makes! Last Sunday we had quite a bit of snowfall followed a few days later by torrential rains.  Today started out foggy, but once that burnt off, we had sun, glorious sun!  Scott & I decided to do a close-in hike at Capitol Forest that we had learned about a few months ago.  We were just waiting for the perfect time...and today was it!

The hike to Porter Falls is a little over 2 miles roundtrip with some steep hills to get our hearts pumping.  The trail was in decent shape with just a few muddy spots & one fallen tree to climb over.  Porter Falls is situated at the confluence of Porter Creek and the West Fork of Porter Creek.  Both creeks were running quite high & fast.  The falls were really pretty.   So glad we got to finally go check it out.
