For my birthday Scott planned an afternoon tea for me, Corey & Nova at Marina Mercantile on the 28th. This place had been recommended on an Instagram post for teas in our area. The place wasn't quite what we were expecting. There was a little store inside with so many breakable things. They didn't have a highchair for Nova, so she was free to roam making our time quite chaotic! The tea itself was really good-I had chai-and Nova kept asking for more in her teacup. The food left a little bit to be desired, but you just never know what you're going to get when you try a new place. The best part were the scones which were light & fluffy with some yummy marionberry jam. We will probably not be back, but I still enjoyed spending time with my girls. We may have to wait a few years before we try again!
We got to sniff their tea selections before making our decision.
A toy to help try to distract her. It took a while for the food to arrive.
Since Corey doesn't drink tea, they let her choose something from their drink selection. She chose this and didn't end up liking it due to the overwhelming inclusion of mint.
Nova loved the tea!
