On Sunday we traveled north to the Skagit Valley to attend the Tulip Festival. Because it is pretty far away, we decided to take Winston with us so he wouldn't be home all day alone. We knew he wouldn't be allowed among the tulips, so before we did that, we took him out to Padilla Bay for a walk along the water. We had never been there before. It is really beautiful with views of some of the San Juan Islands. Unfortunately it was a bit cold & windy, but we still spent some time on the beach, and Winston managed to get wet & sandy-his favorite thing in the world. After this we headed to the Farmhouse Restaurant for some really good food, then it was off to the tulip fields!

| There he is! Winston always heads straight for the water. |

 |
| We were trying to figure out what this concrete thing was...possibly a footing of an old dock? |
 |
| The tide was out a bit and we found tons of these sea snail shells. |
 |
| Winston & the kids loved to walk on the downed trees. |

| This showed you which islands were in the background. |

| Getting a hand up... |

| This was my favorite pic of the day! |

| Here we are at the restaurant waiting to be seated. Scott & the girls are trying to figure out the best way to get to the tulip fields. |

Glad Winston got to have some fun too. So funny that he likes the sand and that COLD water!
