Today I went to the Cedar Creek Grist Mill in Woodland, WA with my friend Teresa and her daughter, Carrie. The Grist Mill is a real water powered mill which was originally established back in 1876. To read more about its history, click
HERE. The grounds include a beautiful covered bridge. We explored the area and took lots of pictures, then went inside to join a tour already in progress. The volunteers gave a brief history of the mill then set about grinding up some corn and wheat. I came away with a bag of freshly ground cornmeal and a recipe for sweet corn muffins. Teresa & Carrie got a couple of bags of ground Red Wheat flour to make bread. So glad we got to go!

| They also have these water powered cider presses. They will be pressing apples next Saturday. The volunteer said they will yield about 750 gallons of cider in one day! |
