Nutcracker 2013

Another exciting season of Nutcracker is here!  After many months of rehearsals, we finally got to see Gabby perform, and she did amazing!  This year she was in the Flower Corp, the Snow Corp, a Mirliton Demi-soloist and a Chinese Lead.  They added one extra show, so in all she performed in 6 shows this weekend.  That girl has a lot of energy and very sore feet!

Scott's Mom came for the Saturday matinee & his Dad & Step mom came for the Sunday matinee.  Our friends Jennifer, Clarrisa, Jerry, Brenda & baby Lila came to cheer her on as well.  We all had a great time!   I think everyone was impressed with how much she has grown as a dancer.  It is always fun to pick out all the parts she has had in the past 5 years.  We can't wait to see her perform in Alice in Wonderland in April.

Here she is as Chinese Lead.  She was able to come out in between shows on Sunday to pose for photos.

Baby Lila really liked the music.

On Saturday she had enough time between shows for us to go to Olive Garden for a celebratory meal.

The following pictures were taken during rehearsals & backstage with Gabby's camera.  I think you can tell that they have a wee bit of fun.

Gabby's friend, Kate, came to see her on opening night.

I love how all the dancers dress in these giant toddler footy pajamas.

And these photos I stole off Facebook.  Doesn't she look gorgeous??
